Your support makes a difference!

Play a part in transforming young musician’s lives. Every gift continues the legacy of Taos School of Music as one of the finest classical music schools in the country.

Virtuoso Fund

Public support is an important reason why we have been able to survive and flourish for over 50 years. Our budgetary priorities are faculty salaries  as well as their expenses and housing for both students and faculty which make up 68% of our budget.

Your contribution insures that Taos School of Music continues inspiring young musicians but also preserves our commitment to provide the community and visitors with first-class chamber music concerts.

An investment in the future generation of classical musicians is a great investment. Supporting Taos School of Music is an excellent way to receive recognition for your business.

Businesses can support this incredible program with a $5,000 donation. You’ll receive acknowledgement in our annual concert program as well as have your logo and name promoted on our website.  You’ll also receive two sets of tickets to all of our concert events.

Share our excitement about the new Young Artist Scholarship Fund with the goal of raising enough money to completely fund the student’s room and board fee.

Although student fees are low at $600 covering partial cost of room and board, this comes on top of transportation fees which can cost up to $500 to remote northern New Mexico–most students are coming from the Northeast. Cello students often buy a seat for their cello making the trip considerably more expensive.

Similar music programs offer free tuition and room and board. This fund will put Taos on a competitive footing with these other institutions. We want to be sure no talented musician is denied the unique benefits of Taos for lack of money.

Gift annuities and bequests are vital for building our endowment and ensuring Taos School of Music’s funding for future musicians.  By including philanthropy in an estate plan, donors and their heirs often benefit from lower income and estate taxes.

Options for planned giving include:

  • Gifts by Will
  • Retirement Plan Assets
  • Charitable Trusts
  • Charitable Gift Annuities
  • Life Insurance
  • Gifts of Personal Residence

If you have already included Taos School of Music in your estate plan, please let us know so we may acknowledge your generosity.
